Our Ethos

Pitta Patta Day Nursery is dedicated to delivering an exceptional childcare service that upholds the highest standards of care and education. Our vision revolves around providing a nurturing environment where every child is valued and respected, irrespective of their gender, ethnicity, religion, or abilities. We prioritise meeting the individual needs of each child, ensuring their voices are heard and their learning opportunities are maximised.

We believe in making learning enjoyable by integrating fun with exploration. Our aim is to create an environment that feels like an extension of the child's family home. Central to our organisation are our experienced, welcoming practitioners who are committed to enhancing their skills and providing additional opportunities for children. We ensure our practitioners possess appropriate qualifications and regularly engage in training courses to expand their knowledge. Moreover, they hold certification in paediatric Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

At Pitta Patta, we embrace a holistic approach to wellbeing that encompasses the happiness, health, and welfare of our practitioners, children, and animals. Our ethos is grounded in compassion and nurturing, fostering a harmonious environment for all.

The wellbeing of our children is at the core of our philosophy. We believe that a deep connection with nature and animals enhances their growth and development. Our curriculum emphasises indoor and outdoor activities, creating real life experiences and nature exploration, interactions with animals and pets. These experiences foster empathy, responsibility, and respect for all living beings, instilling a sense of interconnectedness and compassion from an early age.

For our practitioners, we prioritise creating a supportive and inclusive work culture that values their physical, mental, and emotional health. We recognise the crucial role their wellbeing plays in delivering optimal care to our children. We promote a healthy work-life balance, offer professional development opportunities, and encourage open communication. By nurturing our practitioners' wellbeing, we empower them to be positive role models and create a safe and nurturing space for our children to thrive and develop.

Our commitment to animal welfare is unwavering. Therapy animals are welcome at our nursery, and we encourage meaningful interactions between children and pets. We ensure that the animals receive appropriate care, including veterinary attention, nutrition, and enriching environments.

Furthermore, pets can serve as a valuable educational resource for children to learn about the intricacies of life cycles and habitats, including the growth and development of animals, and the unique requirements of different species for survival.

Pets spark a child's imagination and creativity by inspiring stories and books. Children can explore literary works about pets or create their own tales featuring their furry friends. Together, we cultivate an ethos that celebrates the interconnectedness of all living beings, creating a community of care, empathy, and joy.

Our commitment and  priority is to provide a childcare service of the highest quality, firmly committed to fostering children's learning and development, allowing all children to experience real life opportunities within their environment.
